...God made them all! This week we were learning about Dinosaurs. My boys love dinos so this was an easy week for us! They were very motivated. We did our workbooks, handwriting and reading activities and Korben progressed through sight-words #20-40 at an amazing rate. On Tuesday we went to our favorite museum in town to see the dino exhibits as well as view the boys artwork on display from the Colorful Creatures Art Contest. They were thrilled to get their ribbons and show of their talents!
We spent the rest of the time at the museum sketching the dinos, and, if you know my boys this will not surprise you at all, we also had to sketch the elevators. We purchased a small treat at the gift shop and once home the boys (and Hazel) had a lot of fun uncovering their dino skeletons and then re-burrying them in the jellied-goo. We also watched several of our favorite episodes of Dinorsaur Train this week!
sketching the Allosaurus
A Stegosaurus thigh bone- we measure it and ourselves to compare the size
Eli drew himself next to the bone
measuring
Sketching the Therapod footprints in relation to his own
Yes, the elevator
A Pleiosaurus in the floor!
How long is its neck?
Hazel wanted a turn, too
Sketching the Bulldog Tarpon Fossil
At home with the fossil-goo
Its a Pteranadon
There it is!

Oh wow! What a great museum!! I've never drawn elevators before-too funny!
Too bad we didn't have our dino lessons on the same week! It would have been fun to join you!! I love the sketching idea. I can see I have much to learn from you!
