An Impromtu Trip

It was yet another cold, snowy weekend here and we were all beginning to feel a little... crazy! The boys were whiny, Hazel was on her 4th or 5th tantrum... so Brody I waded through the thick fog of crankies, managed to get everyone's coats on and each kid buckled with their own snack cup of goldfish and we headed West.

Now, we didn't go very far, really. A good 10-15min before we saw it- the T Rex off the side of the interstate marking our destination: The Dinosaur Museum.  We had heard mixed reviews of the museum, but thought it was worth a shot, especially because we had a Groupon-like discount! And I'm so glad we did because the entrance fee was PRICEY! $9 for adults and $7 for kids. The museum itself was fun, and the boys LOVED recognizing all of the dinosaurs we have been learning about and watching on Dinosaur Train, their favorite show. There was even a mirror maze which, to be honest, freaked me out a bit! I couldn't get my barrings AT ALL! Eli and I sat out the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th run through, but Korben and Hazel giggled all the way through. Hazel would continuously bonk her head into mirrors, often knocking herself to the floor, but she'd pick herself back up and go again!

I'd say it was worth the trip out for our 45min excursion,  but we would NEVER pay full price! Thankfully we have another coupon so we'll head out again in a few weeks when we cover Dinos in school.
