Short Ribs

These were oh so good. Brody took one bite, looked up at me and smiled this huge grin... ah, success! We did bone-in ribs and the bones quite literally fell out of the meat on their own accord while in the crock pot. I started sneaking bites at around 3:30, and when dinner was ready 2 hours later I was thrilled to be eating more. The meat was super tender and juicy- the boys ate EVERY BITE!! Every bite. That's huge for my boys who like to chew and chew and chew and chew their meat and eventually split it out, like its cud. 5 Stars for sure!

Short-Ribs
2/3 C Flour
2 t salt
½ t pepper
4-4 ½ lbs boneless beef short ribs or 6-7lbs bone in short ribs
Oil
Onion, chopped
1 ½ C beef broth
¾ C wine or cider vinegar
½- 3/4 C packed brown sugar
½ C chili sauce
1/3 C ketchup
1/3 Worchestershire Sauce
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ t chili powder

1.       Combine flour, salt & pepper in plastic bag. Add ribs and shake to coat.

2.       Brown meat in oil. Transfer to slow cooker.

3.       Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan. Cook, stiring up browned drippings, until mixture boils. Pour over ribs.

4.       Cover, cook on low 9-10 hours.
