Party with the Ockander's!

It was Hazel's oldest cousins 9th birthday this weekend so in addition to watching the Husker game, we celebrated the girls birthdays with, of course, red cake! It's an Ockander... well, Toelle, really, tradition. We love it. The recipe is top secret- you basically have to be blood related to get it... they'll do a blood test to be sure.  And let me tell you- it's AMAZING. Really, really, honest to the Almighty Maker, delicious. I could eat it all day. The only draw back: your you-know-what will be red for at least 2 days after enjoying it. But that doesn't stop me! Nor did it stop hazel! She loved it. Every crumb disappeared within minutes. Thanks Grandma!!

Hazel also opened her first gifts- super cute outfits from grandma and Pappi, a book she doesn't want to put down and a stroller for her babies. The girl is in heaven. She plops her babies in (usually upside down) and off she goes pushing that thing all over the house. The boys try to snag it from her constantly... they like to pretend its a race car or something similar. Bless them.
