Colorado Part 4

On the last day of our trip, we visited the Colorado State capital. Our kids LOVE to go to the capital here in Nebraska so this was so exciting for them. This capital is amazing. It is so full of history and pride. It has a gold plated dome that we were able to climb up to. Once at the top, you have panoramic views of the city and the mountains. It was a trip well made! Now the boys want to get pictures at each of the 50 capitals! Time to start planning more road trips!

One mile above Sea Level

On the steps

Hazel had to hold each brother's hand

A window to show what the inside of the capital walls looks like. There are old railways where coal could be delivered and paths that lead to other buildings in the city

A model of the capital- built in 1890

LOOK!!!

In the dome

Finding Mount Evans that we climbed the day before

Looking at the city

3 down, 47 more capitals to go
