Colorado Part 1

Originally, Brody was assigned a Deposition in Denver for Monday the 18th. We called my Uncles right away and were so excited we could make a mini family vacation out of it! Of course, the case Brody was to work on settled the day before we were to leave, but we went anyways and had a BLAST!!! We are so grateful to Mark and William for hosting us, loving our kids and playing, teaching, feeding and exploring new things with us.

To prepare for our trip, the boys and I made books in order to learn about Colorado and what we would see there. We talked about vocab words such as: peak, boulder and blue spruce. We drew pictures of mountains, too. We also checked out several books from the Library about Colorado (and Nebraska) and we borrowed a handful of Children's Audio books to entertain us along our journey.

I found the majority of our worksheets on Education.com! Love that site! Here are our books!

Coloring the Letter C for Cat (and Colorado)

The first page of the boys books- tracing and writing 'C'

Another page: labeling a map and learning about a map key

Tracing the state shape and coloring the state flag
Working hard
Eli titles his book We are Driving to Colorado and illustrates it with snow capped mountains
