I froze two of the boys cars last night- much to their shock this morning! We spent time discussing how water freezes and how ice melts and then brainstormed ways to get the cars free... they had so much fun, we placed the cars back outside to refreeze. In the meantime, we drew pictures of the cars frozen, melting, and driving.... as well as guessed how long it will take for the cars to freeze again... if it is currently 1 degree with a windchill of -26, I am thinking it wont take long at all!
