Our 'lil Genius

So, of course, my child is the smartest kid in the world, right? (Aren't your children?) He now knows 8 shapes. At first I thought he had just memorized the words to go along with the shapes in his toys, so it was a neat "trick" but not necessarily worth bragging about... :) The other day I decided to put him to the test. I sat him down next to me and drew 5 shapes on a piece of paper and asked him "where's the triangle?" or "the circle?", etc. He knew them all!!! In fact, he knows 8 of them! Square, Triangle, Circle, Star, Oval, Rectangle, Pentagon and Flower. Oh, my little Einstein. We're moving on to colors now, which I think will be a more difficult concept.
