I;m always trying to keep the boys on their toes with lessons. I think this is why we are all loving homeschooling so much- we don't have to sit at a desk memorizing spelling words, tracing the same handwriting pages over and over again. We do these things on occasion, but my boys are way more active and hands-on and it seems they retain lessons better when we are up and moving. So, here's to you Mr. Crayola, thank you for inventing window markers.
We have practiced spelling, drawn landscapes and even bulls-eyes and zombies to fire Nerf guns at on Halloween.
Eli, my reluctant writer, has taken off since this activity first entered our school day. He is writing EVERYTHING now and even asking to do the sit-down-boring school work that he was once so reluctant to try. Somehow, drawing on a window has boosted his confidence. Fun = Success!
